Finance Director – Regional (Central America & Caribbean)

About the role

This senior finance position will lead the financial agenda for Acino’s Panama operations while overseeing a regional portfolio across Central America and the Caribbean. The Finance Director will partner closely with the General Manager and regional leadership to shape strategy, strengthen governance and drive performance in a highly regulated environment.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute financial strategy, planning, FP&A, reporting, controllership, tax, compliance and audit activities for multiple markets.
• Translate business strategy into actionable financial plans and monitor performance across the region.
• Act as a trusted strategic partner to senior leadership, providing insight for critical business decisions.
• Ensure compliance with local financial, tax and regulatory requirements in Panama and other countries.
• Strengthen governance, internal controls, compliance frameworks and financial processes.
• Lead transformation and continuous‑improvement initiatives across multiple jurisdictions.
• Manage relationships with auditors, strategic partners, joint ventures and other external stakeholders.
• Build, develop and lead high‑performing finance teams in a multi‑country setting.

Required profile

• 10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience with responsibility for multiple finance functions.
• Strong knowledge of Panamanian financial and regulatory requirements and regional exposure.
• Proven experience managing finance across several Central American and/or Caribbean countries.
• Track record in financial strategy, performance management and business partnering.
• Experience in regulated industries, preferably healthcare or pharmaceuticals.
• Executive presence, excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills, and fluency in English.
