Early Years Teacher (EYFS)

About the role

King's College School Panama, an international school offering classes to 540+ students from 50+ nationalities from Early Years to Year 13, is seeking an exceptional Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) teacher. It is the first British Curriculum school in Panama, set in a rainforest area of the city, with a purpose-designed campus featuring a covered swimming pool, a football pitch, science labs and modern classrooms.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that match the school's curriculum, policies and external assessment requirements, ensuring each student makes outstanding progress.
• Assess students' in-class and at-home learning regularly and give targeted feedback to drive progress.
• Create a classroom and school environment where students feel valued, supported and ready to take risks in their learning.
• Work with colleagues as part of the learning community, sharing best practice and developing professionally.
• Take an active part in co-curricular activities, from leading clubs to whole-school initiatives.
• Maintain open, constructive communication with parents to build strong partnerships.

Required profile

• A genuine passion for education and the ability to engage and motivate young people.
• Proven track record of excellence in personal, academic and professional areas.
• In-depth knowledge of the subject and expertise in assessing progress and giving feedback, including in external assessments.
• Experience in pastoral care and promoting student wellbeing.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with families.
• Commitment to continuous professional development.
• Strong organisational and administrative skills, able to plan, prioritise and work under pressure.
• PGCE, QTS or equivalent, with excellent academic credentials and, ideally, evidence of post-graduate study.
