DevOps & Security Engineer for Global News Platform

About the role

Join a leading nearshore tech provider to support a global news organization as it brings backend services in‑house and launches a new headless front‑end. You will own cloud infrastructure, delivery pipelines, and security posture across Core Web and Core Platform teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage Google Cloud infrastructure for front‑end and backend services.
• Configure and maintain Cloudflare services including CDN, WAF, DNS, caching, and edge security.
• Define and enforce security posture: IAM, secrets management, vulnerability scanning, logging, and alerting.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Cloud Build) for multiple teams.
• Implement infrastructure as code using Terraform.
• Support security for the new authentication service and set up monitoring and incident‑response practices.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or cloud infrastructure with security responsibilities.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Google Cloud (IAM, networking, GKE or Cloud Run, Cloud Armor, Secret Manager).
• Proficiency with Cloudflare (CDN, WAF, DNS, bot and DDoS protection).
• Fluent English and based in Latin America.
