About the role

We are looking for a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to join our finance team in Panama. The role will support our international projects in construction, engineering and EPC sectors, ensuring accurate accounting, reporting and tax compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Verify, integrate and validate accounting entries in the ERP system.
• Execute monthly close and perform variance analysis.
• Prepare financial consolidation processes and inter‑company eliminations.
• Produce internal and external financial statements.
• Manage tax filings (ITBMS, withholdings, annexes and income tax).
• Review foreign remittances to ensure tax compliance.
• Coordinate internal and external audits.
• Stay updated on applicable accounting and tax regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• CPA certification (mandatory).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in similar accounting positions.
• Preferable experience in construction, engineering or project‑based companies.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS (NIIF) and Panamanian tax law.

Required skills

• Intermediate to advanced Excel.
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems such as NetSuite, Oracle or similar.
• Proficiency in applying NIIF/IFRS standards.
• Understanding of Panamanian tax regulations.
