Consultancy to Update Management Plan for San San Pond Sak Wetland Park

About the role

This consultancy supports the BE-CLME+ Project by updating the Management Plan for the San San Pond Sak National Wetland Park in Panama. The consultant will work closely with CRFM and national stakeholders to ensure the plan reflects current environmental priorities and Blue Economy objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Review existing management plan documents and related studies.
• Conduct field assessments and gather up‑to‑date ecological and socio‑economic data.
• Engage with local authorities, communities, and relevant agencies to incorporate stakeholder inputs.
• Develop a revised Management Plan that aligns with national policies and BE‑CLME+ strategic goals.
• Prepare a comprehensive report, including recommendations for implementation and monitoring.

Required profile

• Proven experience in environmental consultancy, preferably with wetland or protected‑area management.
• Familiarity with Panamanian environmental regulations and Blue Economy frameworks.
• Strong analytical and report‑writing abilities.
• Ability to work independently and meet the 30 August 2026 deadline.
