Chief Executive Officer (CEO) – Banking & Investment Leadership

About the role

The bank is seeking a Chief Executive Officer to lead the next phase of growth for its offshore licensed institution, focusing on private banking and investment banking. Reporting directly to the Board, the CEO will own strategy, corporate governance, P&L, regulatory agenda and international development.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the overall strategy and performance targets of the bank.
• Maintain strong relationships with the Board, shareholders, regulators, auditors and financial counterparties.
• Protect and enhance the bank’s regulatory standing, governance, compliance and risk management culture.
• Drive profitable growth across international banking lines, including treasury, FX, structured finance, syndications and capital markets.
• Develop strategic partnerships with banks, institutional clients, corporates, fintechs, broker‑dealers and other financial ecosystem players.
• Strengthen correspondent banking relationships and institutional alliances.
• Lead the transition to technology‑enabled banking models such as fintech, APIs, Banking‑as‑a‑Service and digital financial solutions.
• Oversee AML/CFT, sanctions, CRS, FATCA and cross‑border banking compliance.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of banking experience, including at least 5 years in senior leadership with direct P&L responsibility.
• Proven track record leading banking or financial services businesses, preferably in international, private, offshore or cross‑border contexts.
• Deep practical knowledge of regulation, compliance and risk management.
• Extensive commercial and institutional network within the financial sector.
• Executive presence and ability to interact with Boards, regulators, shareholders and sophisticated clients.
• Fluent in English and Spanish.
