Cash Accountant – North America

About the role

The Cash Accountant supports unapplied cash reconciliations, refunds and general ledger activities across North America. You will work closely with finance partners, collections and the Record to Report team to ensure accurate cash handling.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily reconciliation of the pre‑payment cash general ledger with high transaction volume and accounts receivable customer accounts.
• Coordinate with financial business partners, collections, cash applications and Record to Report teams.
• Identify root‑cause problems and process gaps to drive continuous improvement in the Accounts Receivable/Credit & Collections process.
• Manage refund processes, including data compilation, approval requests and client returns.

Required profile

• High School Diploma, vocational education or a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Data Analysis.
• 2+ years of experience in Credit Risk Management, Accounts Receivable, Collections or a related field.
• Proficiency in SAP and advanced Excel (pivot tables, data visualization, manipulation).
• Familiarity with AI tools such as Copilot or ChatGPT is preferred.
• Strong customer‑service orientation, teamwork, initiative and fast learning ability.
• Fluent English communication; ability to work overtime or on Panamanian holidays as needed.
