About the role

We are seeking a Scaffolding Foreman to lead the assembly, modification and dismantling of scaffolding systems at Minera Panamá S.A. The role ensures strict safety compliance and adherence to project schedules within a mining environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of scaffolders, assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
• Plan and execute scaffolding projects according to engineering drawings, specifications and industry standards.
• Conduct daily safety briefings and enforce all safety procedures, including fall protection, personal protective equipment and work‑at‑height regulations.
• Inspect scaffolding materials and structures for defects before, during and after installation.
• Identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions to maintain a safe work environment.
• Coordinate with other departments and contractors to ensure smooth project execution and minimize interruptions.
• Maintain accurate records of scaffolding activities, inspections, repairs and material inventory.
• Train and mentor the team on proper techniques and safety protocols.
• Diagnose and resolve issues that arise during scaffolding operations.
• Optimize resource use while meeting project deadlines and budgets.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Scaffolding Foreman or similar supervisory role in heavy‑industrial or mining settings.
• Comprehensive knowledge of various scaffolding systems (e.g., tube‑and‑clamp, multidirectional systems) and their assembly/disassembly procedures.
• Deep understanding of relevant safety standards and best practices for scaffolding operations.
• Valid Scaffolder certification with an active supervisor or foreman endorsement.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering plans, diagrams and technical specifications.
• Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Effective decision‑making and problem‑solving skills, especially under pressure.
• Preferably fluent in both Spanish and English (written and spoken).
