Bilingual Collections Agent (Spanish & English)

About the role

We are looking for a bilingual Collections Agent who can fluently communicate in Spanish and English to help our customers stay on track with their payments. As part of Kafene’s growing Collections team, you will work in a fast‑paced fintech environment, balancing compassionate customer service with the goal of recovering past‑due balances.

Key responsibilities

• Engage customers by phone to discuss delinquent accounts and negotiate payment solutions.
• Apply knowledge of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and internal policies to ensure compliant interactions.
• Utilize multiple call‑center platforms to document interactions and follow up on unresolved cases.
• Maintain high standards of punctuality, integrity, and accountability while meeting monthly collection targets.
• Continuously learn new payment programs and collection techniques to improve efficiency.

Required profile

• Strong self‑motivation and willingness to learn evolving payment solutions.
• Excellent communication skills in both Spanish and English, with a compassionate approach to difficult conversations.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and respond to feedback.
• Detail‑oriented mindset with a focus on meeting key performance indicators.

Required skills

• Knowledge of FDCPA and related debt‑collection regulations.
• Proficiency in navigating call‑center software and CRM tools.
