B2B Marketing & Business Communications Consultant

About the role

IDB Invest is seeking a B2B Marketing & Business Communications Consultant to support its Business Planning team. The role will enhance the institution’s visibility across key industries in Latin America and the Caribbean by crafting and delivering compelling communications around transactions, events, and award opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute communication plans for high‑profile deals, highlighting financial innovation and development impact.
• Maintain an inventory of strategic awards, prepare applications, track outcomes, and build a knowledge base for future submissions.
• Coordinate cross‑functional inputs for signings, closing ceremonies, and award events, ensuring consistent messaging.
• Produce tailored marketing materials, press releases, and event collateral in collaboration with the marketing and communications teams.
• Monitor and report on the performance of communication initiatives, measuring brand positioning and stakeholder engagement.

Required profile

• Experience in B2B marketing, corporate communications, or related fields.
• Strong ability to translate complex financial concepts into clear, audience‑focused messages.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Proactive, detail‑oriented, and comfortable working with multiple internal teams.

Required skills

• Familiarity with marketing tools, content management platforms, and stakeholder databases.
