AWS Security Engineer (Remote)

About the role

BairesDev is seeking an experienced AWS Security Engineer to protect the cloud infrastructure that powers its global applications. Working fully remotely, you will bridge security policy and engineering execution, ensuring identity, network, and data protections are embedded throughout the development lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement IAM strategies that enforce least‑privilege access across AWS environments.
• Configure and manage network security controls, including VPC isolation, firewalls, and web‑application protection.
• Develop automated security guardrails using Infrastructure as Code to enable secure‑by‑default deployments.
• Oversee data‑protection mechanisms, ensuring encryption and key management for data at rest and in transit.
• Partner with engineering teams to embed security requirements early in design and automate continuous compliance monitoring.
• Drive adherence to global security frameworks such as SOC2 and ISO 27001 through governance and auditing.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience in cloud security engineering or information security.
• Proven expertise designing IAM and network security controls on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Hands‑on experience with encryption, KMS, and TLS for data protection.
• Demonstrated ability to ensure cloud infrastructure compliance with SOC2, ISO 27001, or similar frameworks.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
