Analista de Monitoreo – Cumplimiento

About the role

The Monitoring Analyst will join the Compliance team of MMG Bank Corporation. The role focuses on reviewing transaction alerts, identifying unusual activities, and supporting the prevention of money‑laundering, terrorist financing and other financial crimes.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, analyze and follow up on alerts generated by automated systems for banking, fiduciary and credit‑card clients.
• Evaluate real‑time and post‑transaction alerts, flagging atypical operations or behaviors.
• Conduct internal investigations on suspicious activities, negative news and relevant events, documenting findings and presenting cases as needed.
• Track regulatory reports and correspondent requests, reviewing data for patterns or atypical behavior.
• Monitor news and publications related to AML, terrorist financing, weapons proliferation and corruption.
• Support the localization of inactive assets and assist in internal, external and regulatory audits.
• Provide temporary and contingency backup for all Monitoring Analyst functions and any other tasks assigned by the Monitoring Officer or management.

Required profile

• University degree in Finance, Economics, Data Science, Accounting, Auditing or related fields.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Compliance, Auditing, Risk, Monitoring or related functions.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
• Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail and high sense of responsibility.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
