About the role

We are looking for a highly analytical and adaptable Data Analyst to join Minera Panamá S.A. The role will be pivotal in leveraging data to improve asset management, optimise maintenance strategies and support informed decision‑making across mining operations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform deep data analysis to identify trends, patterns and anomalies related to asset performance, maintenance activities and operational efficiency.
• Extract, analyse and interpret maintenance data from CMMS/ERP systems, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
• Develop and implement optimisation strategies for asset utilisation, maintenance scheduling and resource allocation.
• Conduct failure analysis using various techniques to determine root causes and recommend preventive actions.
• Support the implementation and improvement of Reliability‑Centred Maintenance (RCM) programmes.
• Monitor asset condition and performance through data analysis to enable proactive maintenance planning.
• Carry out risk assessments on operational processes and asset performance, identifying vulnerabilities and mitigation strategies.
• Produce clear, concise and high‑impact reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Provide leadership and guidance on best practices for data management and analysis within the team and organisation.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Data Analyst, preferably in industrial machinery or the mining sector.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem‑solving skills with high attention to detail.
• Knowledge of asset management principles and practices.
• Experience analysing condition monitoring data.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to present complex information clearly.
• Ability to make data‑driven decisions.
