Senior Full Stack & Backend NodeJS Engineer (Remote, LATAM)

About the role

Bluelight is seeking a senior full‑stack and backend engineer to join its rapidly expanding consultancy. The role is fully remote, focused on delivering high‑quality, low‑latency API services for clients across the United States and Latin America.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable RESTful APIs using Node.js, TypeScript and JavaScript.
• Build low‑latency services on AWS, including containerized deployments on Fargate/ECS.
• Integrate third‑party SDKs and ensure secure multi‑tenant architectures.
• Write raw SQL, manage schema migrations, and work with PostgreSQL/AuroraDB (including Row‑Level Security).
• Contribute to frontend features with React when needed.
• Implement comprehensive testing, CI/CD pipelines, and fault‑injection scenarios.
• Collaborate with AI coding assistants as part of daily development.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional software development experience, backend‑focused.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Ability to overlap US business hours and work autonomously with extreme ownership.
• Strong problem‑solving skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a positive, client‑focused attitude.
