DevOps / SRE / DevSecOps Engineer (AWS) – Remote (Latin America)

About the role

Bluelight is seeking a senior DevOps/SRE/DevSecOps Engineer to join its fast‑growing, remote team serving clients across the United States and Latin America. You will work in a dynamic environment where collaboration, continuous learning, and high‑quality delivery are core values.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation with reliable rollback procedures.
• Operate and monitor large‑scale AWS services (ECS/Fargate, RDS/Aurora, ALB, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, KMS, S3).
• Manage Aurora/PostgreSQL production environments, including multi‑AZ failover, read replicas, and replica‑lag monitoring.
• Develop infrastructure as code using Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Implement observability solutions with OpenTelemetry, CloudWatch, and logging tools.
• Conduct load testing (e.g., k6) and ensure services meet latency SLOs and error‑budget targets.
• Support security initiatives: vulnerability scanning, secrets management, compliance hardening, and SOC 2 audit evidence.
• Participate in on‑call rotations, incident response, and root‑cause analysis.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional experience in DevOps, SRE, or DevSecOps roles.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Ability to overlap US business hours.
• Extreme ownership, client‑focused dedication, and meticulous attention to detail.

Required skills

• AWS services: ECS, Fargate, RDS/Aurora, ALB, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, KMS, S3.
• PostgreSQL/Aurora administration.
• Infrastructure as Code: Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Containerization with Docker and orchestration on ECS/Fargate.
• CI/CD pipeline creation and maintenance.
• Observability tools: OpenTelemetry, CloudWatch.
• Load testing tools such as k6.
• Security practices: vulnerability scanning, secrets management, SOC 2 compliance.
• Incident response, on‑call duties, and root‑cause analysis.
