About the role

The Scaffolding Foreman will lead and coordinate all scaffolding activities—including erection, modification, and dismantling—at Minera Panamá S.A. The role ensures compliance with safety standards and project schedules while maintaining a safe work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of scaffolders, assign tasks and monitor performance.
• Plan and execute scaffolding projects according to engineering drawings, specifications and industry standards.
• Conduct daily safety briefings and enforce fall protection, personal protective equipment and height‑work regulations.
• Inspect scaffolding materials and structures for defects before, during and after installation.
• Identify hazards, implement corrective actions and maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs and inventory.
• Collaborate with other departments and contractors to ensure smooth project execution.
• Train and mentor the team on proper techniques and safety protocols.
• Manage resources efficiently to meet project deadlines and budgets.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Scaffolding Foreman or similar supervisory role in heavy‑industrial or mining environments.
• In‑depth knowledge of various scaffolding systems (tube‑and‑clamp, multidirectional, etc.).
• Strong understanding of relevant safety regulations and best practices.
• Valid scaffolding supervisor or foreman certification.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering plans, diagrams and technical specifications.
• Excellent decision‑making, problem‑solving and leadership skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in challenging conditions.
