Topógrafo – Surveyor

About the role

The Surveyor will carry out precise topographic surveys and 3D scans to support mining operations, infrastructure construction, project design, leveling, alignment and volumetric control. The role ensures field activities follow approved plans, elevations and designs, contributing to operational safety, efficiency and technical quality.

Key responsibilities

• Perform accurate topographic and 3D laser scanning surveys for mining and construction projects.
• Generate and interpret contour maps, digital terrain models and coordinate data.
• Calculate earthwork volumes, control cut‑and‑fill operations and verify alignment with design specifications.
• Maintain and operate total stations, optical levels, RTK GPS, drones and 3D scanners on site.
• Produce survey deliverables, including plans and reports, in a timely manner.

Required profile

• Technical or university degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, Geodesy or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in mining, large‑scale construction or infrastructure projects.
• Hands‑on experience with total stations, laser scanners, optical levels, drones and high‑precision GPS.
• Completed psychometric, practical and theoretical assessments; valid driver’s licence preferred.

Required skills

• Operation of total stations, RTK GPS, drones, laser levels and 3D scanners.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, Leica Geo Office, SurvCE and DroneDeploy.
• Reading and interpreting mechanical plans, contour lines, DEMs and geographic coordinates.
• Volume calculations, earthwork control and georeferencing.
• Basic technical English.
