Business Unit Manager – LATAM & Caribbean

About the role

The Business Unit Manager (International Merchant II) leads merchandising, sourcing and category‑growth strategies for the LATAM & Caribbean region, driving sales, profit and private‑label expansion through factory‑direct programs.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute multi‑year category and growth plans, analysing consumer trends, competition and retailer needs.
• Lead factory‑direct program creation, coordinating catalogs, sales tools and events to boost retailer adoption.
• Define private‑label strategies, partnering with retailers, sourcing and branding teams to launch new products.
• Manage supplier relationships, negotiate costs, terms and strategic partnerships, and conduct factory visits.
• Oversee financial performance, preparing business cases and monitoring sales, margin and sourcing‑savings targets.
• Build trusted retailer relationships and provide cross‑functional leadership across merchandising, sales, supply chain and finance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in business, merchandising, marketing, supply chain or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 7+ years of experience, including 5+ years in merchandising/category management and 5+ years in sourcing or supplier development.
• Proven track record developing products, assortments and commercial programs for international markets.
• Fluent English; additional language(s) for LATAM markets preferred.
• Willingness to travel internationally 20‑30% of the time.

Required skills

• Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
• Working knowledge of SAP and business reporting tools.
• Advanced knowledge of category strategy, global sourcing and private‑label business models.
