Senior Corporate Accountant – Marketing

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join the Corporate Accounting & Finance team of our client, a challenger holding company focused on transforming marketing. The role will lead key accounting functions, provide management reporting, and support various corporate initiatives within the Stagwell network.

Key responsibilities

• Perform monthly, quarterly, and year‑end close activities, including journal entry preparation and posting.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts and prepare balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Support the preparation of financial statements in accordance with US GAAP (or IFRS where applicable).
• Manage accounting for accruals, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, leases, and other corporate accounting areas.
• Assist with external audits by preparing schedules, documentation, and responding to auditor requests.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.
• Analyze financial results, explain variances, and collaborate with FP&A, Treasury, Payroll, Tax, and other functions.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, automation, and reporting efficiency.
• Participate in ERP implementations, system enhancements, or finance transformation initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• 3+ years of corporate accounting experience.
• Basic knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Ability to reconcile accounts and perform general‑ledger analysis.
• Experience with large ERP and accounting software preferred.
