QAQC Engineer – Asset Management

About the role

First Quantum is seeking a QAQC Engineer to support its Asset Management function. The role ensures that processes, materials, services, repairs and documentation meet established quality standards, safeguarding asset integrity and aligning with the company’s asset management strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and maintain Asset Management policies and document control for the site, including Management of Change (MOC).
• Ensure compliance with international, national and best‑practice standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 55001, API, ASME and ASTM.
• Maintain traceability and up‑to‑date records for inspections, tests, repairs and receipt of equipment and spare parts.
• Coordinate with maintenance, operations and contractors to resolve non‑conformities.
• Monitor quality indicators for repairs and contracted work, and drive continuous improvement.
• Guarantee quality in preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance activities, ensuring procedures and standards are followed.

Required profile

• University degree in Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Specialisation or diploma in Six Sigma, continuous improvement tools or ISO 9000 quality management.
• Minimum three years of experience in similar QA/QC or asset management roles.
• Proven experience generating statistical quality reports and managing maintenance or continuous improvement projects.
