About the role

First Quantum Minerals is seeking an Occupational Health Physician to provide comprehensive, ethical, and timely medical care to employees at its Panama site. The professional will evaluate, diagnose, treat, and follow‑up on health issues to preserve workforce health, prevent disease, and maintain operational capacity.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct clinical evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of occupational and general health conditions.
• Supervise medical surveillance programs and fitness‑for‑work assessments.
• Ensure compliance with Panamanian health regulations and corporate standards.
• Design and support preventive health programs and on‑site awareness campaigns.
• Coordinate with Safety, HR and Occupational Health teams for workers with special conditions.
• Promote safe health practices and self‑care among the workforce.

Required profile

• Medical degree (Licenciatura en Medicina General).
• Specialization or Master’s in Occupational Health, Occupational Medicine or Safety and Occupational Health.
• Active professional registration in Panama.
• Minimum two years of experience in occupational health medical care.

Required skills

• Clinical evaluation and medical diagnosis.
