About the role

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Local Scientific Affairs Senior Scientist to lead evidence generation and scientific engagement in Panama or Costa Rica. The role bridges local Medical Affairs with regional Scientific Affairs, translating therapeutic priorities into impactful real‑world evidence and publications.

Key responsibilities

• Drive end‑to‑end evidence generation processes, including real‑world evidence studies and independent publications.
• Develop and oversee scientific engagement plans with healthcare professionals and key opinion leaders.
• Support field medical effectiveness and ensure compliance with governance standards.
• Collaborate with therapeutic area teams, MSL leaders, and cross‑functional partners to deliver patient‑centered scientific strategies.
• Translate complex scientific and operational data into actionable recommendations for local and regional stakeholders.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives across Medical Affairs operations.

Required profile

• University degree in Life Sciences, Healthcare, Medicine, Pharmacy or a related discipline.
