About the role

The company seeks a senior leader to drive its Food Safety and Quality Management System (SGIA). The role ensures compliance with national and international standards, customer requirements, and continuous process improvement to guarantee safe, high‑quality products.

Key responsibilities

• Implement, maintain and continuously improve the SGIA aligned with GFSI‑recognized schemes.
• Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Prerequisite Programs (PRP).
• Lead HACCP implementation, hazard analysis and risk management.
• Manage non‑conformities, customer complaints, food safety incidents and CAPA processes.
• Oversee supplier qualification, raw material and packaging material control.
• Promote a quality and safety culture through training and awareness programs.
• Monitor performance indicators, conduct internal audits and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Guarantee compliance with current legislation, regulatory requirements and customer specifications, especially for supermarket chains.
• Support internal, client, regulatory and certification audits and ensure corrective actions are completed.

Required profile

• Degree in Food Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Microbiology or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of leadership experience in Quality and Food Safety within the food industry, preferably fresh fruit/vegetable or packaging plants.
• Strong knowledge of GMP, HACCP, PRP and GFSI‑recognized systems (FSSC 22000, BRCGS, SQF or equivalent).
• Familiarity with applicable sanitary legislation and audit management.
• Experience with performance indicators, root‑cause analysis and continuous‑improvement methodologies.
• Demonstrated leadership, communication and teamwork abilities.
