IT Help Desk & Automation Specialist

About the role

We are looking for an IT Help Desk & Automation Specialist who can combine day‑to‑day technical support with the development and maintenance of internal tools and workflows. The ideal candidate enjoys troubleshooting hardware, software and system issues while also writing and improving code in existing codebases.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑line IT help‑desk support, diagnosing hardware, software, application and user‑access problems.
• Investigate and resolve technical incidents using logs, command‑line tools and systematic debugging.
• Develop, maintain and enhance internal scripts, automations and workflows using Python and/or TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Work within existing repositories, apply updates, and ensure code stability.
• Integrate internal and third‑party systems through APIs.
• Use Git for version control, code reviews and collaboration.
• Test, debug and document scripts, applications and automated processes.
• Identify repetitive manual tasks and propose automation solutions.
• Leverage AI coding assistants (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot) to accelerate development and documentation.

Required profile

• Strong background in IT help‑desk or technical support operations.
• Hands‑on experience writing code in Python and/or TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Proficiency with Git and version‑control workflows.
• Experience building or maintaining scripts, automations, or internal tools.
• Comfortable using command‑line interfaces and debugging techniques.
• Ability to work independently, investigate issues and deliver practical solutions.
