About the role

The Panamanian Red Cross is seeking a Health Technician to join its Central Headquarters in Albrook. The role provides technical and operational support to the health component of a humanitarian project, ensuring safe, organized and timely care for both national and third‑country beneficiaries.

Key responsibilities

• Perform basic health procedures including triage, vital‑sign measurement, first aid and assistance with wound care.
• Record patient information, support data registration for health‑indicator monitoring, and prepare necessary materials and supplies.
• Identify vulnerable situations, report them to responsible staff and activate protection pathways.
• Manage and dispose of medical waste according to established protocols.
• Maintain confidentiality, protect data, and safeguard medicines and basic equipment.

Required profile

• Technical qualification in nursing or emergency medical care.
• Ability to work in resource‑limited settings and deliver safe clinical management.
• Understanding of data‑protection standards and waste‑handling procedures.
