Syndicate Banker, Director - Latin America

About the role

Citi is looking for a Syndicate Banker, Director to centralize the Spread Products (SP) syndications, mainly Latin American private structured credits originated and structured by the Emerging Market Credit Trading team. The role covers the whole Latin America and is based in Panama City, Panama. The selected candidate has direct access to Citi clients and indirect access through coverage professionals in the markets and within SP, and is also responsible for finding new clients.

Key responsibilities

• Take significant responsibility for the phases of project and transaction execution, new business development and the overall growth of the firm
• Work closely with clients to obtain the commitments needed to complete syndications, guiding them through the process, including leading due diligence, drafting sessions and supporting internal committee reviews
• Engage with clients and their senior and C-level teams, as well as with professional advisors involved in potential transactions
• Draft pitch materials, information memoranda, investor and management presentations, and oversee the work of analysts and associates assigned to projects

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in sales and trading and syndications within private credit
• Strong overall experience in financial services, focused on private structured credit
• Degree in finance or a closely related area of business administration; MBA or master's degree preferred
• Experience with large corporate clients and capital markets products
• Local markets registrations or licenses

Required skills

• Knowledge of corporate banking products, regulations and lending and credit approval processes
• Clear and concise written and verbal communication
• Preferred: Series 7, 9 and 63 licenses
