Substitute Teacher

About the role

The Casco School is seeking a full‑time Substitute Teacher to work on‑site across its Albrook and Costa del Este campuses in Panama City. You will deliver lessons that follow the British curriculum while supporting the school’s bilingual philosophy and fostering an inclusive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lessons according to established plans and adapt them to diverse student needs.
• Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere and manage behavior effectively.
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback aligned with curriculum standards.
• Collaborate with permanent teaching staff to ensure continuity of instruction.
• Prepare classroom materials and adapt to various grade levels and subject areas as required.
• Communicate clearly with students, colleagues, families, and school leadership.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in education and teaching with primary or secondary school experience.
• Ability to plan lessons and adapt them to different classroom contexts.
• Excellent communication skills, culturally sensitive and respectful.
• Experience in training or mentoring learners.
• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field; teaching certification preferred.
• Experience in bilingual or international school settings is an advantage.
• Reliable classroom management, flexibility to cover various subjects and grades.
• Commitment to safeguarding and student well‑being in line with school policies.
