Senior Frontend Engineer – Media Production

About the role

You will be one of the senior engineers building a new headless front‑end for one of the most visited news sites in the world. The team has an aggressive goal of launching a first page early next year. You will shape the architecture, set front‑end standards, and work with AI‑assisted workflows in the news media industry.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design and implementation of a modern, headless front‑end architecture for a high‑traffic news platform.
• Drive timely execution of key front‑end releases to meet launch goals early next year.
• Define and advocate front‑end engineering standards (code quality, component patterns, testing, code reviews).
• Own Core Web Vitals, SEO, accessibility, and page‑speed performance.
• Integrate scalable headless CMS solutions with in‑house backend APIs.
• Mentor mid‑level engineers and collaborate with engineering leadership on architecture.
• Leverage AI‑assisted and agentic workflows within the engineering lifecycle.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of senior‑level front‑end experience on production systems.
• Proven ability to work in English daily with US‑based teams.
• Experience using AI coding tools and agentic workflows on a daily basis.

Required skills

• React and Next.js (SSR, SSG, ISR, App Router)
• TypeScript
• Integration with headless CMS and APIs (REST/GraphQL)
• Performance optimization (Core Web Vitals, CDNs, caching, asset optimization)
• Daily use of AI‑assisted coding tools
