Senior Accountant – Shared Services (Panama)

About the role

Trident Trust is looking for a talented Accountant to join its shared services team in Panama. The role focuses on managerial accounting, monthly financial statement preparation, credit management, and cash collection while supporting the company’s management team.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial statements under tight deadlines.
• Reconcile bank statements, review daily bank transactions, and record customer receipts.
• Process supplier, related‑party, and government tax payments.
• Coordinate payroll activities with an external provider and ensure statutory payroll obligations are met.
• Calculate monthly accruals, pre‑payments, and issue electronic fiscal invoices.
• Assist with annual audits, tax return preparation, and liaise with auditors.
• Audit delinquent accounts, pursue collection, and assign bad‑credit status when appropriate.
• Produce weekly director reports and ad‑hoc analyses as required.

Required profile

• Professional accounting qualification with at least 8 years of relevant experience, preferably in a Panamanian law firm or financial services firm.
• Strong knowledge of Panamanian accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting requirements.
• CPA license preferred.
• Fluent in Spanish and English, both written and spoken.
• Ability to work independently under pressure, stay organized, and manage multiple tasks.
