Semi-Senior Front-End Engineer - Entertainment

About the role

Truelogic, a nearshore staff augmentation provider with more than 600 tech professionals in Latin America, is recruiting a semi-senior front-end engineer for its client, an independent global news organization. You will join the Core Web team building a new headless front end, working alongside two senior engineers to build pages and components for a first launch early next year in an AI-first workflow.

Key responsibilities

• Build pages and reusable React/Next.js components for the new front end
• Turn designs into responsive, accessible UI
• Connect components to headless CMS content and backend APIs
• Write unit and component tests
• Take part in code reviews, planning and estimations
• Deliver well-defined features independently, from ticket to merged and tested code
• Use AI coding assistants to support coding, refactoring, testing and debugging, reviewing their output critically

Required profile

• 3+ years of front-end engineering experience
• Solid React experience
• Practical Next.js experience in production, including shipping at least one Next.js project and understanding SSR/SSG and routing basics
• Experience consuming REST or GraphQL APIs
• Experience writing unit and component tests, ideally with Jest and React Testing Library
• Real, regular use of AI coding assistants such as Copilot, Cursor, Claude or ChatGPT in recent work
• Headless CMS experience and integration testing experience
