About the role

We are looking for a Project Safety and Health Manager to lead the implementation of our occupational safety and health management system for the rehabilitation of a water treatment plant in Chepo. The role ensures compliance with local legislation and ISO 45001 standards while promoting a culture of risk prevention.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and apply the company Safety and Health Management System in line with current legislation and ISO 45001.
• Advise and promote integration of occupational risk prevention across the project.
• Prepare preventive documents such as risk assessments, safety plans, IPER matrices, work procedures, technical instructions and emergency measures.
• Plan and conduct inspection visits, control and follow‑up activities for preventive compliance.
• Manage training, information and awareness programmes on occupational safety and health.
• Coordinate the preventive activity planning and monitor its execution.
• Investigate incidents and accidents, analyse root causes and define corrective actions.
• Carry out internal and external audits.
• Coordinate with clients, subcontractors and self‑employed workers on safety documentation.
• Interact with the contracted health surveillance service (SPA) and manage personal protective equipment requests.
• Supervise and support project safety technicians.

Required profile

• University degree in Occupational Safety and Health with a current technical council endorsement.
• Minimum 5 years experience as a safety professional on industrial projects.
• Strong knowledge of occupational safety legislation, ISO 45001 and industrial regulations.
• Experience working with industrial and energy clients.
• High proficiency with office tools and CAE management software.
• Willingness to travel and stay on site for temporary periods.
• Valid driver’s licence; English proficiency is a plus.
