Responsable de Calidad – Panamá

About the role

The Quality Manager will join Cox’s office in Panama, overseeing quality activities across multiple water and energy projects. The role ensures that quality management systems are correctly implemented, contractual and regulatory requirements are met, and that project teams deliver to the highest standards.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor the implementation of the Quality Management System on all projects.
• Develop, review and track project Quality Management Plans.
• Prepare, review and schedule Inspection and Test Plans (PPI) and conduct inspections and tests as defined.
• Perform regular site visits, supporting on‑site quality inspection and control when needed.
• Review supplier, contractor and subcontractor quality documentation.
• Track non‑conformities, corrective actions and open quality issues.
• Manage traceability of materials, equipment and calibration certificates.
• Liaise with clients, contractors and internal teams on quality matters and attend follow‑up meetings.
• Participate in internal and external audits and follow up on audit actions.
• Monitor quality indicators, critical points and major project risks.
• Maintain quality records, prepare final dossiers and project close‑out documentation.
• Provide quality‑related support to project teams.

Required profile

• Engineering degree; technical training in civil works, electrical or industrial installations is a plus.
• Master’s or specialized training in Quality Management.
• Minimum 5 years of proven experience in quality roles on industrial or construction projects.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality management systems, contractual requirements, inspections and document control.
• Ability to coordinate multiple projects and supervise field technicians.
• Intermediate‑advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
