Regional Head of Operational Excellence

About the role

Maersk is seeking a Regional Head of Operational Excellence to lead the development and execution of a unified Operational Excellence strategy across its Contract Logistics operations in Latin America. The role is responsible for driving continuous improvement, process standardisation and performance optimisation while fostering a culture of innovation and accountability.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a regional Operational Excellence strategy aligned with corporate objectives.
• Lead continuous‑improvement initiatives that deliver cost reduction, efficiency gains and measurable business impact.
• Define, monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) using data‑analytics dashboards to support decision‑making.
• Partner with Operations, Finance and Commercial teams to ensure cross‑functional alignment.
• Standardise processes across sites, establishing governance frameworks and best‑practice procedures.
• Champion innovation and change‑management programmes, promoting new technologies and tools.
• Build organisational capability through coaching, training and fostering a culture of accountability.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management or related field; Master’s preferred.
• Proven experience leading Operational Excellence, Continuous Improvement, Lean or Six Sigma programmes in a regional or multi‑site environment.
• Strong financial acumen with ability to understand P&L drivers, cost structures and productivity metrics.
• Demonstrated success in change management and deployment of new processes or technologies.
• Fluent English; Spanish and/or Portuguese highly desirable.
• Experience in logistics, supply chain, warehouse or transportation environments.
