Regional Category Manager – Aftermarket (Americas)

About the role

APM Terminals is looking for a Regional Category Manager – Aftermarket to lead strategic sourcing and category management across the Americas. You will partner with asset maintenance teams, local procurement units, and key suppliers to drive cost optimisation, reliability, and innovation for our terminal operations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute aftermarket category strategies that support operational excellence and asset reliability.
• Identify and implement cost‑saving opportunities while maintaining high supplier performance.
• Lead complex negotiations with strategic suppliers and manage long‑term partnerships.
• Collaborate with regional maintenance and procurement teams to align sourcing initiatives with business goals.
• Monitor market trends and introduce innovative solutions to improve terminal performance.

Required profile

• Proven experience in strategic sourcing, category management or procurement, preferably in a logistics or terminal environment.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior leaders.
• Analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and data‑driven decision making.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
