Quality Assurance Automation Engineer (Playwright)

About the role

We are seeking a passionate QA Automation Engineer with strong expertise in Playwright to design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks for modern web applications. The role is hybrid, combining remote work with onsite collaboration in our Panama City office.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated UI and API test suites using Playwright (TypeScript/JavaScript or Python).
• Build and enhance scalable, reusable test automation frameworks.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, e.g., GitHub Actions.
• Execute functional, regression, smoke, integration, and cross‑browser testing, both automated and manual.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and stakeholders to define test strategies.
• Identify, document, prioritize, and validate software defects.
• Analyze test results and provide actionable insights to engineering teams.
• Drive continuous improvement of QA processes, tools, and best practices.
• Mentor and support other QA team members on automation methodologies.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in QA automation engineering.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Playwright.
• Solid programming skills in TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency testing REST APIs using tools such as Postman or Playwright API.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to thrive in agile, fast‑paced development environments.
