Project Lead

About the role

The Project Lead will support the U.S. Department of State and other funders on a range of international capacity‑building initiatives. Working from Panama, the role combines technical, financial and administrative management to ensure projects align with CRDF Global and donor objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute projects using best‑practice methodologies, covering scope, deliverables, schedule, risk, change, monitoring, evaluation and lessons learned.
• Develop and manage project budgets, coordinate pricing, forecast labor and direct costs, and lead financial risk and change management.
• Maintain relationships with customers, technical experts and international stakeholders, representing the program at external events.
• Lead technical and financial reporting to meet project, program and agreement objectives.
• Contribute to pipeline‑building activities, including concept development, capture and partner engagement.

Required profile

• Professional fluency in English and Panamanian work authorization.
• Minimum 3 years experience managing international workshops, trainings, conferences, fellowships or similar capacity‑building activities.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field; PMP certification preferred.
• Experience supporting U.S. Government clients, especially the Department of State, is a plus.
• Strong organizational, communication and diplomatic skills, with the ability to work in a matrixed global team.
