Project Controller – Panama

About the role

Hitachi Rail is seeking an enthusiastic, self‑motivated Project Controller to join its Panama team. The role combines administrative and strategic responsibilities, supporting the financial health of rail construction projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop work breakdown structures and budgets in collaboration with the project team.
• Track, monitor and report planned budgets versus actual spend using SAP, PCS and Primavera.
• Provide variance analysis, recovery plans and monthly earned‑value reporting.
• Assist with contract change orders, claim preparation and subcontractor invoicing.
• Monitor cash flow, internal/external invoicing and reconcile cash receipts.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of experience as a Project or Cost Controller, preferably on construction projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or related field.
• Fluent in Spanish and English.
