Program & Executive Officer – Latin America & Caribbean

About the role

The Program / Executive Officer supports the Regional Director in advocating for children’s rights across Latin America and the Caribbean, shaping strategic communications and coordinating regional oversight forums. The role blends advocacy, internal and external communications, and partnership support to advance Save the Children’s mission.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare advocacy briefs, talking points and summaries for regional and global platforms, ensuring consistent messaging.
• Monitor regional strategic priorities, produce regular reports and synthesize global documents to guide planning.
• Assist in diversifying funding by creating briefing materials and collaborating with the Resource Mobilisation team.
• Develop and implement communication strategies with the Regional Communication Lead, producing tailored materials such as presentations and briefing documents.
• Facilitate Regional Oversight Forums and Internal Coordination Spaces, managing agendas, minutes and follow‑up actions.

Required profile

• Proven experience in developing and executing communication strategies aligned with organisational values.
• Significant background in internal and external communications with senior stakeholders, including donors and partners.
• Demonstrated ability to work across global teams, adapting to diverse cultural contexts.
• Strong analytical and project‑management skills to monitor impact and drive continuous improvement.
• Fluency in English and Spanish is essential.
