About the role

Join the Cobre Panamá team as an Inventory Management Professional responsible for controlled substances. You will ensure safe, efficient, and compliant handling of regulated chemicals, maintaining accurate records and supporting continuous operational safety.

Key responsibilities

• Manage inventory control and traceability of controlled substances, guaranteeing record integrity.
• Maintain up‑to‑date documentation, permits, and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure compliance with CONAPRED, UCQ, and other relevant authorities.
• Supervise safe storage, custody, and handling of controlled substances.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare technical reports, indicators, and records for decision‑making and regulatory compliance.
• Support internal and external audits and regulatory inspections.
• Drive continuous‑improvement initiatives for control, traceability, and compliance processes.
• Coordinate with operations, warehouses, maintenance, procurement, and suppliers to uphold established controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• 3‑5 years experience managing controlled substances, regulated chemicals, or hazardous materials in highly regulated industries.
• Hands‑on experience with CONAPRED, UCQ, and related regulatory permits.

Required skills

• Knowledge of CONAPRED regulations.
• Familiarity with Unidad de Control de Químicos (UCQ) guidelines.
• Regulatory compliance and document control expertise.
