Operational Excellence Intern - HPM NAR

About the role

Philips is looking for an Operational Excellence Intern to join the HPM North America ISC organization in Panama City. The intern supports operational excellence initiatives focused on Backlog Management, Returns Management and Unhealthy Inventory Management, using data analysis, reporting, process documentation and operational support.

Key responsibilities

• Support returns management reporting and follow-up activities.
• Assist backlog management and backlog cleanup by maintaining trackers and analyzing open orders.
• Support unhealthy inventory management through data gathering, reporting and analysis.
• Help maintain operational performance reports and dashboards.
• Collect, organize and analyze data to identify trends and process improvement opportunities.
• Document processes, work instructions and standard operating procedures.
• Support continuous improvement and automation initiatives.
• Collaborate with team members across Backlog, Returns, Inventory and other operational functions, and take part in team meetings and improvement projects.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in a degree program in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Analytics, Operations Management or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, detail-oriented, organized and able to multitask.
• Team player with strong English communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Power BI or other data analysis tools are a plus.

The role is office-based, with in-person work at least 3 days per week; onsite roles require full-time presence in the company's facilities. Candidates who have many but not all of the required experiences are encouraged to apply.
