Maintenance Technician – Rolling Stock

About the role

Alstom is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform corrective maintenance on subway rolling stock at its Maintenance Line 2 facility in Panamá. The role ensures safe, reliable, and efficient operation of trains while meeting quality, cost, and delivery standards.

Key responsibilities

• Comply with internal safety regulations and quality indicators.
• Execute corrective maintenance on subway wagons and resolve equipment failures.
• Prepare and deliver failure analysis reports and briefings.
• Analyze maintenance software logs to optimise rolling‑stock upkeep.
• Update the system database with maintenance results.
• Identify repetitive issues, propose investigation routes and improvements to the maintenance plan.
• Ensure the work environment follows health, safety and environmental policies.
• Suggest procedural, material and training enhancements.

Required profile

• Technical training or university degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years experience in an operations environment; rolling‑stock experience is a plus.
• Basic level of English.
• Proactive, methodical, organized and analytical mindset.
• Ability to work in a team and demonstrate leadership qualities.

Required skills

• Electrical/Electronics engineering knowledge.
• Basic proficiency in English.
• Computer user‑level skills.
• Familiarity with SAP (preferred).
• Familiarity with Railsys (preferred).
