Kindergarten & 1st Grade English and Science Teacher

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and creative teacher to deliver English language arts and Science to Kindergarten and 1st‑grade students. The role focuses on building foundational literacy while introducing scientific concepts through hands‑on, age‑appropriate activities in a nurturing classroom environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging English and Science lessons for Kindergarten and 1st‑grade classes.
• Teach phonics, vocabulary, reading, speaking, listening, grammar, and early writing skills.
• Introduce Science concepts using experiments, observation, exploration, and interactive projects.
• Incorporate stories, songs, games, movement, visuals, manipulatives, and creative projects into instruction.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs and developmental levels.
• Establish effective classroom routines and maintain a positive, organized learning environment.
• Monitor, assess, and document student progress.
• Prepare classroom materials, learning centers, projects, and assessments.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers, academic coordinators, and school staff.
• Communicate regularly with parents about student progress and classroom activities.
• Participate in school meetings, activities, and professional development.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, English Education, or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in English.
• Experience working with Kindergarten and/or 1st‑grade students (preferred).
• Knowledge of early childhood development and foundational literacy instruction.
• Understanding of phonics and early reading development.
• Ability to make Science engaging through hands‑on learning.
• Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Patient, creative, enthusiastic, flexible, and collaborative.
