IT Support Officer

About the role

The IT Support Officer will be the first point of contact for alerts and incidents affecting the IT and OT infrastructure of PSA Panamá. The role focuses on proactive handling of defined procedures and timely escalation to ensure operational continuity and meet response time targets.

Key responsibilities

• Configure, install and maintain operating system accounts and organizational applications.
• Install computers, printers, phones and related peripherals.
• Set up accounts and applications on mobile devices.
• Log and resolve cases using the Service Desk tool or any assigned ticketing system.
• Provide remote support sessions via remote‑access links.
• Create manuals and procedural documentation for updates or new tools.
• Troubleshoot structured cabling and wireless network issues.

Required profile

• Degree or technical qualification in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Systems or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in technical support, help desk, system operations, network technician or similar roles.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Service Desk ticketing tools.
• Experience in structured cabling troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of wireless networking concepts.
• Ability to configure and support mobile devices.
