iSeries Developer (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced iSeries Developer to join BairesDev’s remote team. You will ensure the reliability and performance of IBM Power Systems while bridging legacy architecture with modern business needs.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and develop business applications on IBMi (OS/400) platforms using RPG.
• Manage and monitor IBM Power Systems environments to guarantee seamless daily operations.
• Administer system resources with HMC and PowerVM virtualization tools.
• Implement high‑availability strategies and system‑management workflows using PowerHA and Fortra toolsets.
• Create and update technical documentation to preserve institutional knowledge.
• Troubleshoot and optimise system performance to minimise production downtime.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience in iSeries development or IBMi systems administration.
• Proven expertise in RPG programming.
• Strong knowledge of IBM Power Systems administration (HMC, PowerVM).
• Hands‑on experience with PowerHA and Fortra tools.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
