Investment Banking Summer Analyst Internship

About the role

MACA Advisors offers an 8‑week Summer Analyst program (June 7 – July 30 2027) for students interested in cross‑border M&A advisory. Participants receive structured training, work on case projects based on real transactions, and observe live mandate meetings.

Key responsibilities

• Attend weekly training sessions covering financial modeling, valuation methods, and transaction processes.
• Complete case projects using anonymized or historical deals and receive written feedback.
• Observe team meetings and client calls, then debrief with mentors to understand decision‑making.
• Prepare a final presentation for senior partners and obtain a written evaluation.

Required profile

• Current enrollment in a finance, economics, business or related undergraduate/graduate program with graduation expected in 2028.
• Minimum GPA of 3.7 (or equivalent) and strong academic record.
• Fluency in Spanish and English; Portuguese required for Brazil‑based participants.
• Located in a time zone between UTC‑3 and UTC‑6.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and basic accounting fundamentals.
• Experience with FactSet, Bloomberg, PitchBook, and Capital IQ for research and analysis.
