Health, Nutrition and Population Operational Support Consultant

About the role

The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) is seeking a consultant to support health‑related project implementation for its Health, Nutrition and Population Division (HNP) in Haiti. Based in Panama, the role involves regular field missions to Haiti and close collaboration with the Health Specialist and project team.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and report on health‑related activities across the IDB portfolio, reviewing planning, execution and financial documents for compliance and risk identification.
• Prepare internal and external reports, including semi‑annual monitoring reports, technical cooperation reports and project completion documents.
• Provide technical input for research and consultancy activities financed through Technical Cooperation programs.
• Support logistical, administrative and budget‑tracking tasks for the project team, including coordination meetings and briefing materials.
• Assist in strategic planning by gathering health sector data, analyzing initiatives, and supporting stakeholder dialogue.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in public health, political science, public administration, economics, social inclusion or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing social development projects, preferably in health and nutrition.
• Proficiency in French and Spanish (spoken and written); English knowledge is a plus.
• Citizenship of one of the IDB’s 48 member countries and no close family ties to IDB staff.
