Gerente de Proyecto – La Chorrera

About the role

BTD is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead high‑impact infrastructure projects in the water and education sectors. The role is based in La Chorrera, Panama Oeste, and requires full‑time onsite presence.

Key responsibilities

• Represent the Contractor before the Employer and the Engineer throughout the contract execution period.
• Direct and coordinate the project to ensure scope, schedule, budget, and quality are met.
• Supervise key personnel including Construction Manager, Design Engineer, and specialists.
• Manage contractual relations with the Employer, including progress meetings, deliverables, and reporting.
• Make strategic decisions on risks, scope changes, and conflict resolution.
• Ensure compliance with contractual, regulatory, and quality requirements.
• Adhere to safety, occupational health, and environmental standards.
• Prepare and maintain reports related to the area of responsibility.
• Participate in coordination and monitoring meetings.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Required profile

• University degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Sanitary, Electromechanical, Electrical, or Industrial) with a related Master’s degree.
• Minimum 15 years of overall experience, including at least 10 years in managerial or project‑manager roles for hydraulic infrastructure projects.
• At least one project with a budget of $50,000,000 USD or more, where the candidate was involved for at least 70% of the project’s duration.
• Availability to work full‑time onsite in La Chorrera, preferably residing in Panama Oeste.
