General Manager – Logistics & Warehouse Operations

About the role

We are looking for an experienced General Manager to launch and lead our new warehouse facility in the Panapark Free Zone, Panama. You will be responsible for building the operation from the ground up, ensuring compliance with customs and free‑zone regulations, and delivering efficient inbound and outbound logistics.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and manage the new warehouse operation in Panapark.
• Design and implement operational procedures, workflows, and internal controls.
• Recruit, train and lead the warehouse and logistics team.
• Coordinate inbound shipments, storage, inventory, order preparation and outbound shipments.
• Ensure compliance with Panamanian customs regulations and Free Zone requirements.
• Handle permits, registrations, licenses and liaise with government authorities.
• Work with customs brokers, freight forwarders, shipping companies, suppliers and customers.
• Oversee import, re‑export and international shipping documentation.
• Implement and maintain an effective warehouse and inventory management system.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular stock controls.
• Establish quality‑control, security, health and safety procedures.
• Monitor operational costs and identify efficiency improvements.
• Prepare regular operational and management reports.

Required profile

• Proven management experience in logistics, warehousing, supply chain or Free Zone operations.
• Strong knowledge of Panamanian customs procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Experience working with customs authorities, government institutions and logistics service providers.
• Track record of establishing or expanding warehouse operations.
• Demonstrated ability to recruit, build and lead an operational team.
• High level of responsibility, accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and take full ownership of the operation.
• Fluency in both Spanish and English.
