FinOps Associate – Financial Operations Analyst

About the role

The FinOps Associate will support the financial and administrative management of Maersk Contract Logistics operations in Panama. Acting as a bridge between operations and finance, you will ensure accurate, timely financial information, drive billing processes, and help maintain robust financial controls.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and validate monthly client billing and ensure its accuracy and timeliness.
• Validate operational revenues, support cost recovery, and monitor site expenses.
• Prepare monthly provisions, financial reconciliations, and support the monthly financial close.
• Track revenues, costs, margins, and key financial indicators; analyze variances against budget and forecast.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and profitability analysis per client, contract, and operation.
• Coordinate with Operations to validate billable volumes and activities.
• Manage purchase orders, follow up with suppliers, and resolve billing disputes.
• Identify financial risks, cost‑optimization opportunities, and contribute to improving financial controls and processes.
• Generate productivity and resource‑utilization reports and support internal/external audits.

Required profile

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience in billing, accounts receivable/payable, or financial analysis.
• Experience with billing cycles, financial close, profitability analysis, and expense control.
• Advanced Excel skills; knowledge of financial analysis, cost accounting, budgeting and forecasting.
• Native Spanish speaker and intermediate English proficiency.
