Financial Controller – Finance Transformation & Leadership (Panama)

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on Financial Controller to lead finance transformation for an international hotel and hospitality group. Based in Panama, the role offers full relocation support and reports directly to the CFO, providing a high‑visibility platform to shape the finance function.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Strengthen financial controls, reporting accuracy, and governance across the organization.
• Drive process‑improvement initiatives and finance‑transformation projects, including ERP optimisation.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, FP&A, and tax‑compliance activities.
• Deliver operational and cost analyses to inform strategic decision‑making.
• Partner with senior leadership to advance business performance and growth.

Required profile

• 5‑7 years of finance leadership experience, preferably in hospitality, retail or consumer‑facing businesses.
• Fluent in English and Spanish, with strong stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Proven track record of building, restructuring, or scaling finance teams of 10+ members.
• Experience in fast‑changing, transformation‑focused environments.

Required skills

• NetSuite (or comparable ERP) implementation, optimisation, or transformation experience.
• Deep technical knowledge of accounting, financial control, FP&A and tax compliance.
